I think that it is incredible that you guys and the New Belgium crew are supportive of deaf people. I have several deaf members in my family and it would be great to be able to share one of your NY concerts with them. Will any more of your shows be interpreted?
Thanks John. New Belgium really gets the credit for creating such an inclusive event. They're fantastic people. We've only worked one or two music festivals that provided ASL services, and otherwise we haven't come across any opportunities to for ASL to happen. We haven't encountered it much out there, but we love that it opens our show up for more people to enjoy. If you know of an organization that does ASL for the music industry, we'd love to connect with them! Cheers
I just saw your show in Fort Collins at the Tour de Fat. You guys rocked and your band member that does the sign language was incredible!!! I know some signs and just watching him was amazing and beautiful. I saw several deaf people there and they were blown away by how powerful your songs and performance was in ASL. Thanks so much for thinking of deaf people and including them in your show, most musicians never do so much for accessibility. Why is he not in your videos or listed on your page? Will he be performing at more of your shows? I'd love to watch more of his work.Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds responded on 09/09/2015 Next question
